The Alpine A310 is the last model decided by Jean Rédélé, this car was manufactured in order to compete with the Porsche 911.

At the time of its presentation at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1971, the Alpine A310, successor of the A110, first adopted the 4-cylinder engine developing 128 hp, this one will be replaced in 1976 by the V6 PRV 2.7l conceived by the partnership Peugeot, Renault, Volvo. The engine goes from 128 to 150 hp with a top speed of 225 km/h, its weight from 840 to 1018kg.

From 1976 to September 1980 the phase 1 (3 holes rims) will be produced then from September 1980 to its end of production in 1984 the phase 2 (4 holes rims), 1 381 copies were produced in 1979.

  • The Alpine A310 V6 will participate in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1977 and 1978

  • This model in V6 version will become European Rallycross champion in 1977 with the Austrian Herbert Grünsteidl, French champion with Jean Ragnotti, and especially French Rally champion the same year with Guy Fréquelin.

  • The A310 V6 was used by the French Gendarmerie as a first intervention vehicle from 1974 to 1987.

It will be replaced by the GTA in 1984.
