Successor of the Z1 which sold only 8000 units, the Z3, first presented in roadster version, was the first vehicle designed and built in only 36 months. Manufactured between 1995 and 2002, it is the first BMW built entirely outside Germany.
The Z3 will become a very popular collector's item with its 6-cylinder engine. The very original coupe is even more sought after than the roadster and logically sees its value soar.
The Z3 Coupe was developed from the Z3 roadster by taking the concept of the hunting wagon.
Only 17,815 copies of the Z3 coupe will see the light of day in the world, all versions combined, that is to say 6% of the total production of the Z3 (which was a success in roadster). The coupe was sold between 1998 and 2002.
The unusual side profile design earned it the nickname "clown shoe" and "bread oven" in reference to the Ferrari 250 GT Bread Van by American critics. In Germany, it was called "turnschuh" (sports shoe).
