The Beetle is one of the cars that embodies the spirit of the 50s and 60s, a true icon that inspired the legendary Porsche 911. Designed by Ferdinand Porsche, it shares technical roots with the first Porsche models, notably its rear engine, simplified design and aerodynamics, which influenced the philosophy of the 911.
This superb 1958 VW Beetle Type 11, preserved in authentic condition, is now available for sale. Veteran appraised in 2020, a new appraisal can be carried out for the sale. The car is in its original condition, starts immediately and has always been maintained by its owner.
This Beetle was acquired by its owner in 2014 in Baulmes from a private individual who had kept it for around 6 years. He has carefully maintained it himself over the years and drives it regularly.
The vehicle has been scrupulously maintained by the current owner, with regular servicing.
Externally, its flaws are its charm, a few rust spots are visible in certain areas. The chrome is pitted on the rear bumper. The wheels are in good condition. There are a few minor signs of wear that are natural for its age, but nothing that detracts from its charm.
Inside, the door panels are in very good condition. The original steering wheel is also in very good condition. The seats are worn and could be repaired or left as is. The rear bench seat is in good condition but has stains. The roof lining is in good condition, but the inside window jambs are worn.
Mechanically, everything is in order apart from a little rust, which is not a cause for concern. The car runs perfectly and is ready to take to the road for many years to come.
This Beetle can be left as is with its character and its few visual flaws, or it can be given a cosmetic makeover for the meticulous buyer.

Cabriolet: Rear window enlarged, leading to a change in the air intake grille from one row of vertical slots to two rows of horizontal slots. New dashboard. Modified chassis.
