History

Its owner has owned it for around 30 years, riding it regularly and taking great care of it. With only 50,700 km on the clock, this Vespa has been carefully maintained by a specialist. It underwent a complete overhaul in April 2024. It was repainted in its original colour a few years ago.

Condition of the vehicle

Exterior: In very good condition, with bright paintwork. Mechanics: Fully serviced, in perfect working order. Only fault: The glass on the speedo is scratched.

History of the model

The Piaggio Vespa was born in Italy in 1946 and quickly gained in popularity thanks to its unique design and practicality. Designed by engineer Corradino D'Ascanio, the Vespa revolutionised the world of scooters by offering an affordable and stylish alternative to the car. A surprising anecdote: the name "Vespa" means "wasp" in Italian, chosen for its characteristic noise and distinctive shape. What's more, the Vespa became a symbol of freedom and style after appearing in the 1953 film "Roman Holiday", starring Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck. The success of this film solidified the Vespa's iconic status around the world.
