The car was bought new by a woman on 23 February 1988 at the Peugeot Fleury garage in Geneva. It was later passed on to her son, who lives in the canton of Vaud. The current owner had always dreamed of owning this car, ever since it appeared in the film Subway. He finally realised his dream by acquiring it from his son in 2014 and then registering it in Geneva. Consequently, this is a 2/3rd hand.

Inside, the perfection continues. The fabric-covered seats are in exceptional condition for their age, and the driver's seat has been completely redone. However, there is a small tear in the inner lining of the soft top, but it is important to note that this in no way compromises its watertightness.
Mechanically, this Peugeot 205 CTI is powered by a 1900 cm3 engine (an export engine for Switzerland) and has benefited from meticulous maintenance throughout its life. No work is required, and the engine is reliable and efficient, with no leaks or particular problems.

Produced in 27,999 examples, the Peugeot 205 CTI was developed to offer a sporty convertible with the DNA of the GTI. Launched in 1986, this version was a great success. It uses the bodywork of the GTI, with distinctive details such as alloy wheels and reinforced bumpers.
The 205 CTI was launched at the beginning of 1986 and went on sale in March. It underwent few changes during its career, apart from the incorporation of the new dashboard for the range in 1988, offering improved perceived quality. In 1990, the car received an upgrade with the addition of an electric soft top as standard and a slight restyling including new lights and indicators.
Initially fitted with a 1,580 cm3 engine developing 115 bhp, the CTI was equipped in 1992 with a 1.9L 105 bhp engine to meet the current catalytic converter standards.
Production of the 205 CTI ended in 1994. This cabriolet remains popular with enthusiasts for its unique styling and its heritage in the Peugeot 205 range.
