This Delage D4 from 1933, which we are offering for sale, is a model full of history. Designed at a time when we could order a car with a bare chassis, it is distinguished by its Baldenweg bodywork. This Delage has a special history, as its bodywork was designed and manufactured by the Carrosserie Baldenweg in Geneva, under the direction of the current owner's grandfather, the founder of this bodywork which has now been in existence for 103 years. A Baldenweg plaque is attached to the vehicle!
The current owner bought the car in France, keen to rediscover one of the models made by Baldenweg, thus perpetuating a family link and a heritage.
Always meticulously maintained, it has benefited from a service every year and has passed its expert examination, enabling it to enjoy veteran status. Originally beige and red, it is now fitted with an olive green and beige livery.
Externally, the car is in remarkable condition, as the photos speak for themselves. The paintwork is in excellent condition, with only a few very slight signs of use. The interior is also in excellent condition, faithful to its era and perfectly preserved. There is no visible rust on the underside. The car starts right up and is ready to go!
