Produced after the Second World War, the Bentley Mark VI was the first Bentley to be produced with a fully assembled factory body.
The car we are offering for sale was imported into Switzerland in 1951. This Mark VI is in superb condition and has been very well maintained by its current owner, who is above all a passionate collector. The paintwork is original, which is very rare for a vehicle of this age. The interior is also original and the woodwork has recently been redone. The state of preservation of this car demonstrates the superior quality of the period!
This Bentley has been serviced every year. It is ready to take to the road again!
The paintwork is in excellent condition for original paintwork. A few cracks and imperfections are visible but do not detract from its overall condition. The interior is very well preserved, with only the slightly worn leather seats showing the car's age. The woodwork has recently been restored and enhances the interior. The underside is sound, with only a few light traces of rust showing through. Mechanically, there's nothing to worry about with this car, which starts right up.
Introduced in 1946, the Bentley Mark VI was the first Bentley to be produced entirely in-house, with factory bodywork. Until then, customers had bought a bare chassis and used independent coachbuilders. This model marks a turning point for the brand, with more streamlined production while retaining a high level of finish.
Equipped with a 4.3-liter in-line 6-cylinder engine, it developed 132 hp and offered solid performance for its time. Its chassis also served Rolls-Royce, illustrating the expertise of the Crewe-based manufacturer.
Visually, it stands out for its clean, elegant lines, integrated headlights and typically British silhouette. Produced until 1952, the Mark VI is today a model prized by collectors for its history.
