Completed in April 1966, it was delivered new to New York before being imported to Basel in February 1994, marking the beginning of its adventure in Switzerland. In September 2010, its current owner purchased it in Basel, and undertook to maintain it with the utmost care. Always serviced at Garage des Maraîchers in Geneva and Restocar in Montreux, this Austin Healey has not only been kept in pristine condition, it has also been improved with attention to detail for use on its outings.
The exterior is in very good condition, with only a few marks and paint defects visible in the photos. The paintwork still has its original shine. The soft top, which is original, has two small defects due to creases. Front tyres should be fitted.
Inside, there are no major tears or defects in the original leatherette seats. The carpets, also original, are intact and well preserved.
Mechanically, it runs perfectly well and has never had any problems. There are no leaks and no excess water or oil consumption.

The Austin-Healey 3000, affectionately known as the "Big Healey" for its robust 3-litre engine, is the fruit of Donald Healey's vision and Gerry Coker's talent. Born in the 1950s, this icon of the British roadster finds its origins between the sophistication of a Jaguar XK120 and the accessibility of an MG TD. Its robust chassis, designed by Barry Bilbie, combined with charismatic bodywork and a powerful engine supplied by Austin, quickly won over Leonard Lord of Austin Motors. It evolved from the big 4-cylinder Model 100 to the 6-cylinder Model 3000, adding to its power and appeal in competition and markets, particularly in the US.
Despite a premature end in 1968 due to regulatory changes in North America, the Big Healey remains a motoring legend, with over 45,000 units produced, celebrated for its unique blend of performance, style and rallying history.
