This Aston Martin V8 Volante is in excellent overall condition, with the exception of two cracks on the bonnet and a small scratch on the driver's door (visible on the photos). The rest of the bodywork is still in excellent condition.
The rims are in good condition but the paint is flaking, this can be solved by repainting or removing the paint. The interior is splendid, completely refurbished in an elegant off-white that highlights the woodwork in perfect condition and accentuates the exterior colour of the car. The mechanics are in very good condition, as evidenced by the recent survey, the only problem encountered was the alternator, which was repaired by a specialist in Zurich.
The car has been restored over the years by various specialists and has always been maintained in good time, many invoices are present. Having had few owners, its current owner has owned it for over 20 years. An extensive file of invoices and documents relating to the car are available, as well as documents from previous valuations.
As a bonus, this car is said to have belonged to German Chancellor Helmut Kohl, this information needs to be investigated further...

If you are looking for a solid convertible with 305 horsepower, combining English luxury and sporty lines, then this beautiful lady is for you, in a harmonious configuration, with a complete history, this is a real gem!
It was during the oil crisis that Aston Martin marketed its overpowering V8...amazing isn't it? Proof that passion sometimes comes before certain priorities!
The Aston Martin V8 was officially launched in 1972, with numerous engine, power and even body variants. and even body styles followed until 1990 when its successor, the DB7, took up the torch.
Let's take a look at its history since 1972:
The AM V8 (Series 1) was similar to the DBS V8 with a new name after the brand was bought by the Compagny Developments Ltd. This was followed by the Series 2, with a mainly cosmetic update.
After that, having difficulties to pass the American anti-pollution standards with the Bosch injection of the V8, the brand is obliged to pass to the carburetors, the series 3 is then born in 1973. In January 1977, the engine was modified to make room for the new "Stage 1", equipped with new camshafts and a new exhaust, now developing 305hp.
After 8 years of absence, the convertible was finally unveiled on the V8 Volante in June 1978.
You certainly know it from the James Bond movie "Killing is not playing", no wonder this one is there, as it was the best seller of the brand at the time, it had to be there!
Production of the AM V8 was put on hold from the end of 1974 until 1976 when the Company Developments went into administration.
